Mojo Motorcycles take over Sherco distributorship

French motorcycle manufacturer Sherco, recently announced Mojo Motorcycles as their official distributer for their expanding enduro range in Australia.

The move will see the two companies unite to deliver more of the highly acclaimed two and four stroke machines to the Australian market as well as increase the brands presence in the local off road racing scene.

Mojo Motorcycles CEO, Michael Poynton says his company is thrilled, drawing parallels between the two brands.

“We’re definitely both young and aggressive companies and equally excited about this opportunity.

“We see Sherco as a very up and coming brand and are excited about the results they are getting internationally, both in the marketplace and in competition and we plan to emulate those results in Australia.” Poynton said.

Sherco CEO, Mark Teissier said Mojo Motorcycles were the best fit for his company because of their passion for Sherco products, their commitment to building the brand through racing and their impressive infrastructure required for successful distribution.

“We think you have to really have a passion and a strong belief in our products to succeed in a new market and that was something we felt when we met the team at Mojo Motorcycles.” Teissier said.

It’s this passion and belief in the product that will see the brand really make its presence felt in Australia in the coming months with Mojo confirming they will be stocking both two and four stroke enduro models.

The first shipment of Sherco’s critically acclaimed two strokes, released late last year in Australia is expected to arrive on our shores in May with four stroke models to follow in June.

Poynton says his team plan to take the brand to the next level and will revamp the company’s online offering, launch an increased model range and strengthen the dealer network across the country.

“The company’s range has really evolved so we believe we can offer Sherco customers lots of variety, great dealers who are as passionate about the bikes as we are and of course, the after sales support we pride ourselves on with all our brands.”

“We also have a big commitment to the racing side of things as well and will make announcements regarding this in the coming months.” Poynton said.

The terms of the agreement will see the previous Sherco importer, Moto Central Group, continue with the distribution for the trials range.
