About the R3 Cup
The R3 Cup is a one model race series developed by YMA in conjunction with YRD to introduce newcomers to road racing. The aim is to offer affordable race bikes and level playing field competition so the emphasis is on racecraft.
For example, entrants are able to purchase a bike and race kit package for a subsidised rate of $7900 inc GST.
YRD sells kits to riders who already own an R3 for a subsidised price of $3630 inc GST.
Entry level riders competing in the 2016 R3 Cup are set to win prize packages valued at over $42,000. Entrants must commit to at least four rounds to be eligible.
R3 Cup has served up some close racing – expect more of the same at Morgan Park.
