As previously stated the SBS Speedweek Shows will also go to air on Fox’s SPEED TV channel on the following Thursday night at 9.30pm on Inside Speed and the SPEED TV Speedweek show on Friday night at 11.00pm.
While this highlights what classes will be on in what shows it at this stage does not include the efx / TTX-GP or SuperMono classes which will also receive television air time during the year.
2011 Scheduled TV Programs on SBS & FOX
Sunday Afternoon 24 shows on SBS Speedweek show
Thursday Night 24 shows on SPEED TV InSide Speed show
Friday Night 24 shows on SPEED TV Speedweek show
AFX-SBK Television Coverage = 3 x 24 = 72 x 30 minute shows on TV in 2011
Combined the 2011 Australian FX-Superbike Championship will have on air 72 (seventy two) x 30 minute scheduled shows during 2011. This does not include the many replays on SPEED TV which will dramatically increase the final number of showings the series will get this year.
I must stress one thing though, while this is AVE’s provisional scheduled television coverage for our FX-Superbike Championship series television channels can and occasionally do alter programming as things often unfold on the international stage. That being the case this calendar could change. What I can say though that we will do is as soon as we know that any change has been made by the station or channel we will make it public.
I think most people would agree getting Australian road racing on television over 72 times in 2011 is a great coup for the sport, sponsors and the competitors alike and will go a long way to bringing this great sport to the attention of many more hundreds of thousands of people in Australia.
