MV Agusta 2026
MV Agusta has confirmed that its entire 2026 motorcycle lineup will leave the factory with a complete electronics suite as standard.
Across all three- and four-cylinder models and every segment in the range, the Italian marque will include the full electronic package in the manufacturer’s suggested retail price. There are no optional electronic bundles, software unlocks, or activation fees required at purchase.
The company states the approach is intended to ensure pricing transparency and a consistent ownership experience across the model range.
Every 2026 MV Agusta model is equipped as standard with:
- 6-axis IMU
- Cornering ABS
- Three riding modes plus one Custom mode
- Up and down Quick Shift
- Traction Control (Off + 8 levels)
- Front Lift Control
- Engine Brake Control
- Adjustable engine response
- Throttle sensitivity adjustment (Low / Medium / High)
- Torque management (Low / Medium / High)
- RPM limiter
- Cruise control
The Custom riding mode enables riders to upload a personalised engine map via their smartphone, allowing them to adjust engine and chassis parameters. On models fitted with electronic suspension, suspension settings can also be configured digitally.
One custom map at a time can be uploaded and activated through the bike’s Custom mode, with naming and editing managed through the app. Settings can also be fine-tuned during riding.
Cruise control is included as standard across the range.
Rider interface and connectivity
All 2026 models are equipped with either a 7-inch or 5.5-inch TFT display, along with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.
Standard features include:
- TFT instrumentation (7″ or 5.5″)
- Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
- MV Ride App compatibility
- Integrated GPS tracking device
- Anti-theft system
MV Ride App and GPS integration
The MV Ride App works in conjunction with a single hardware module that combines:
- GPS tracking
- Anti-theft
- Navigation support
- Trip recording
- Remote diagnostics
- Riding customisation
Through the app, riders can adjust engine, safety and chassis parameters and store up to ten personalised riding maps. One map can be uploaded at a time and activated on the motorcycle.
Real-time vehicle information, system status and operational data are accessible via the app interface.
Navigation
Route planning is handled on the smartphone, with turn-by-turn directions displayed on the TFT dash. Audio guidance is supported via compatible headsets.
Offline maps can be downloaded for use without mobile data. Route preferences can be customised to avoid highways or ferries, and the system supports off-road routing where legally permitted.
Every ride is recorded via the integrated GPS module, creating a digital logbook including:
- Lean angle
- Throttle position
- Average and maximum speed
- Total ride time and distance
- Gear position
Photos taken during a ride are geo-tagged and linked to the recorded trip. Data can be shared within the MV Ride community or exported externally.
Anti-theft and safety features
The integrated anti-theft system sends SMS alerts with GPS coordinates if activated, with position updates every ten minutes. Geofencing alerts the rider if the motorcycle leaves a predefined area.
Over-the-air firmware updates are supported via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, allowing software updates without a dealer visit.
Anti-theft, emergency SMS, locate-your-bike and geofencing services are included free for the first year. From the second year, connected services are available via a subscription managed through the app. An Emergency SMS function notifies a nominated contact when a crash is detected, based on predefined speed thresholds. We have not yet confirmed whether these tracking and emergency alert features will be fully functional in Australia due to local compliance regulations.
