25 years of World Superbike at Phillip Island
25 years of World Superbike at Phillip Island was celebrated last year at the Australian round of the World Superbike Championship, with 2017 now the 26th year.

The three day, two wheel extravaganza is set to be simply super with Saturday and Sunday racing for world superbikes continuing.    Friday blasts off with practice and first qualifying, Saturday features final qualifying and Superpole for World Superbikes and World Supersport till 2pm.

Then we put our race-face on and the high speed shenanigans really begin with the season opening 22-lap Race One for World Superbikes scheduled for 3pm Saturday, followed by more racing till late afternoon.

Sunday is all racing, starting at 8.30am with a schedule of eight races.  First up there’s Australian support classes competing in their national opening round, and then comes world class action with the 1.30pm 18-lap race for World Supersport and the second World Superbike race at 3pm to settle spoils for Round One of the 2017 championship.

Based on fan feedback, modified trackside camping now delivers a better experience for all our guests.  For 2017, there will be a dedicated motorcycle area, a quieter area for families with restricted noise, the return of the powered sites and extended viewing along the fence line.

Entertainment wise, Go Karts run close to the camping precinct so if you feel the need for speed, your own race machine is just around the corner.  Live entertainment returns with bands booked for Friday and Saturday night, in an entertainment zone on the far-side of the Go Kart track.

If you’re camping, you are set for an awesome February weekend.  You’ve views over Bass Strait to waken you, incredible World Superbike action during the day just metres from your tent, a little karting maybe in the late afternoon sun for a laugh, and a safe-haven campground at night whether you want to crash early or catch up with mates.
