Marc Marquez 2021
Overnight as part of the 2021 Repsol Honda MotoGP Team Launch Marc Marquez answered some questions about his recovery and his expectations for this year.
“Step by step, I feel much better. I try to follow my body, try to increase a little bit the work at home. I don’t know when I will be ready, bit better every week, not every day, but every week I feel a bit better. I’m optimistic to be on the bike as soon as possible, but I don’t know exactly when that will be.”
Marc then goes on to talk about his previous relationships with new team-mate Pol Espargaro and how they were once team-mates as youngsters before getting on to his expectations for 2021.
“Normally the goal for a season for a rider is to try and win the championship. But this 2021 is completely different, my main goal is to try and enjoy it again on the bike. Then step by step try to be fast, but this is something you need to understand, and you can’t not pretend to arrive after one year without bike, and be the same Marc. This is something we must understand, the main target is to enjoy on the bike.”
He then goes on to talk about how he expects his return to riding the motorcycle to progress. Check out the full interview below.
