Aprilia X 250TH
Aprilia has used the Grand Prix of the Americas weekend in Austin to unveil the X 250TH, a limited-edition track bike created to mark 250 years since the signing of the United States Declaration of Independence. Built through Aprilia Racing’s Factory Works programme, the X 250TH is based on the 2026 RSV4 1100 Factory and will be produced in a run of just 30 machines worldwide.

Aprilia has tied the project closely to its American reveal by finishing the machine in a stars-and-stripes themed livery, with July 4, 1776 graphics integrated into the bodywork.

What sets the X 250TH apart from the usual limited-run superbike formula is the braking package. Aprilia says it is the first customer motorcycle offered with Brembo carbon-carbon brakes of the type used in MotoGP, pairing 340 mm high-mass carbon discs with carbon pads and billet aluminium calipers with cooling fins.

Power comes from a 1099 cc 65-degree V4 developed by Aprilia Racing to SBK specification. Claimed output is 240 hp at 13,750 rpm, with 131 Nm at 11,750 rpm and a maximum engine speed of 14,100 rpm. Dry weight is listed at 165 kilograms, giving the X 250TH figures that place it firmly in the realm of a closed-course special rather than anything resembling a road bike. It is non-street legal.

Aerodynamics are another major part of the package. Aprilia says the X 250TH carries the latest MotoGP-derived rear-end development, including seat wings and tail wings modelled on current RS-GP concepts, along with a rear wing, under wing and cornering wings.

The full carbon fairing package is produced by PAN Compositi, while the bike also uses a structural carbon seat support and an SC-Project titanium MotoGP replica exhaust.

The electronics suite is equally serious. Management is handled by Aprilia Racing’s APX control unit with GPS integration, allowing adjustment of power delivery, traction control, engine braking and front lift mitigation on a gear-by-gear basis. Chassis hardware includes pressurised Öhlins front suspension, an Öhlins TTX rear shock, forged magnesium Marchesini wheels and Pirelli Diablo SBK slicks.

Aprilia Racing CEO Massimo Rivola positioned the X 250TH as a machine aimed squarely at collectors and riders chasing the closest possible link to a MotoGP bike, while technical director Fabiano Sterlacchini singled out the braking system as the standout step forward on this model. That fits with Aprilia’s broader X-series philosophy, which began with the RSV4 X in 2019 and has since continued through the Tuono X, RSV4 X Trenta, RSV4 X ex3ma and RSV4 X-GP.

US pricing is listed at USD $150,000, while Aprilia quotes €115,000 plus VAT for the non-US allocation. Each buyer also receives a Yashi laptop for ECU management, a personalised mat and bike cover, titanium front and rear stands, and IRC tyre warmers. Bookings opened immediately through its Factory Works portal as the bike was revealed in Texas overnight.

For Aprilia, this is more than a commemorative paint scheme. The X 250TH is a low-volume statement piece designed to showcase just how much of the company’s MotoGP and WorldSBK development can be applied to a customer track bike when regulation, price, and road registration are taken out of the equation.
