Larsen declared 2010 Australian Pro Lite SX Champion after points cock up demotes Moss
Motorcycling Australia (MA) can confirm that following further investigation from Race Officials, PJ Larsen has been officially declared as the Pro Lites 2010 Australian Supercross Champion.
A mistake was made in the compilation of results at the final round whereby Matt Moss was awarded points despite completing less than 75 per cent of one of the races – as per GCR 12.11.2.
This was rectified by the Steward of the meeting, Paul Foster, and the final results for the Pro Lites Championship are as follows:
1: PJ Larsen 310 points
2: Matt Moss 306 points
3: Ryan Marmont 244 points
MA, on behalf of Race Officials, would like to apologise to the riders and their teams who through no fault of their own were put through this uncertainty.

NB: Suzuki later called to clarify the situation and that there is an appeal still pending which still means that the results are not officially finalised and are still subject to appeal.

Hours later Motorcycling Australia issued the following clarification.
Supercross Pro Lites Results provisional as Suzuki appeal
Following recent confirmation of a correction to results in the 2010 Australian Pro Lites Supercross Championship, Motorcycling Australia (MA) has received an appeal to the published results from Suzuki Australia.
MA was aware of Suzuki’s intention to appeal if there was a change to the results, and as such, in accordance with the Manual of Motorcycle Sport, the results are provisional pending the outcome of the appeal process.
The appeal process will commence immediately, however owing to the holiday period is unlikely that the situation will be resolved until the New Year.
