Practice day for domestic competitors planned prior to Australian GP
With the support classes at the upcoming Moto GP at Phillip Island now racing on Sunday being prepared to put on a good show is more important then ever.
Currently a group of front running ASC privateers have joined together to get clear track time by hiring each track that the national series visits. Similar to the advantage that the factory teams have enjoyed for years, now you too can refine your settings and lines.
Phillip Island has been hired for the 23rd and 24th September for testing prior to GP. With a open pit policy and limiting the total number of riders to just 30 SBK or SSP bikes, it means that riders will be running lap after lap without any traffic for two solid days. More then enough time to experiment with settings and lines in order to get that fastest ever lap time.
Priority will be on a first deposited first secured basis and we expect that each day should cost around $500, with a few of the factory teams and riders booking in as well as the regular testing privateers we have 10 positions available to those racers planning on doing the support racers. Comparable times to within 10% of current ASC SBK lap records from your home track need to be proven to be safe and fast enough to attend.
