Big Aussie names on the track included KTM’s Angus Reekie, Team Yamaha Cru Halliday plus local rider Brett Stewart and many more, who revved their way around the track trying to keep renowned speedy Gozzini at bay.
Supermoto, which is a cross over between road racing and motocross, is a very popular sport in Europe and is becoming so in Western Australia, with expressions of interest to hold the world titles right here in Perth.
Discussions between Gozzini’s Management, TM Racing and Lord Mayor Lisa Scaffidi were had about the likelihood of an event of this calibre being hosted locally and the outlook proved to be bright.
The KTM Australian Supermoto Championship will take place all weekend long as part of the Northam Motorcycle Festival at Bernard Park, Northam WA.
With well over 100 riders set to participate in the championships and so many other activities of a two-wheel nature taking place, be sure you don’t miss it!
