– 2012 Suzuki RM-Z250 Unveiled
Suzuki’s 2012 RM-Z250 motocrosser has been unveiled and ready to take on any competition.
The 2012 Suzuki RM-Z250 packs a punch with a powerful 249cc, four-stroke engine, lightweight aluminium chassis, Showa suspension and Suzuki’s latest off-road competition technology.
Following in the footsteps of its big brother – the championship-winning RM-Z450 – the Suzuki RM-Z250 was the first, quarter-litre production motocross machine to feature Suzuki’s innovative fuel-injection technology.
A dominant competitor in the Australian motocross and supercross scene since its introduction, the Suzuki RM-Z250 recently clinched another championship title with young gun Errol Willis claiming the Under 19 2011 Australian National Motocross Championship.
Suzuki’s original Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) system incorporates a 43mm throttle body with progressive throttle linkage and a battery-less fuel pump, giving the RM-Z250 outstanding performance.
The 249cc, four-stroke, single-cylinder, liquid cooled DOHC engine is engineered to perform, delivering impressive high-end performance throughout a wide powerband, without compromising low-to-mid range power and torque.
Developed in competition, a high-strength, twin-spar aluminium alloy frame gives riders agile handling, whilst the chassis and suspension system offer superior cornering and tighter line selection.
Motocross and supercross racers of the Suzuki RM-Z250 are eligible to register for Suzuki’s Support Rider program, offering generous contingency payments on national and state championships.
With its aggressive looks, the 2012 RM-Z250 is guaranteed to catch the eye of observers and now sports a red gripper seat cover and black fork leg protectors, set off dramatically by the updated graphics adorning Suzuki’s traditional Champion Yellow / Black livery.
New for 2012, the Suzuki RM-Z250’s comprehensive spares kit now includes an air filter, additional oil filter and a piston ring set to help keep the machine in top competition shape.
Race ready, out of the crate, the 2012 RM-Z250 is available for a Recommended Price of $10,690*.

– 2012 Suzuki RM-Z450 Hits Our Shores
The 2012 model of the championship-winning Suzuki RM-Z450 is now available in Australia, race ready out of its crate and set to deliver results.
The 2012 RM-Z450 continues the legacy of its ground-breaking predecessor, the 2008 RM-Z450, which was the first mass production motocross motorcycle to feature electronic fuel injection.
Globally, the RM-Z450 has taken champions across finish lines ahead of the pack for years and is the current AMA Pro Motocross Champion.
The RM-Z450’s 449cc, four-stroke, single-cylinder, liquid cooled, DOHC, 4-value engine has been developed and refined to deliver phenomenal idle-to-redline thrust.
Pioneered by Suzuki in the motocross category, the Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) System uses a reversed throttle movement, which directs mist away from the valve to produce more power and enhanced throttle response.
The electronic fuel injection systems three fuel maps (lean, standard and rich) allow riders to fine tune their preferences to suit track conditions.
The RM-Z450’s rigid, twin-spar aluminium frame is accompanied by an advanced subframe, linkage and rear swingarm, whilst the race-bred Showa suspension provides sharp handling, improved manoeuvrability and maximum traction.
This potent powerplant also features a five-speed, constant mesh transmission and impressive brakes package to produce a race-winning package.
