Ducati Superleggera V4 Centenario Tricolore
Ducati has launched the core of its 2026 centenary program at Borgo Panigale, unveiling the 100-unit Superleggera V4 Centenario Tricolore and detailing a wider anniversary schedule led by World Ducati Week.
The road-legal special is claimed to be the first production motorcycle to feature carbon-ceramic brake discs and a fork with carbon-fibre sleeves derived from MotoGP technology, with Ducati listing maximum power at 228 hp. Its livery draws on the 750 F1 that won the 1986 Battle of the Twins at Daytona with Marco Lucchinelli.
The bike was unveiled alongside Ducati’s Manuale del Made in Italy secondo Ducati, presented at the company’s Auditorium in the presence of Minister Adolfo Urso, Emilia-Romagna President Michele De Pascale and Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali.
The handbook, curated by Rampello & Partners with Ducati, sets out the company’s view of Italian design, engineering, quality and innovation, along with its ties to Borgo Panigale and the wider Motor Valley region. Ducati says it has the backing of the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy, the Leonardo Committee and the Altagamma Foundation
Superleggera V4 Centenario Tricolore revealed
Alongside the handbook, Ducati unveiled the Superleggera V4 Centenario Tricolore, a road-legal special edition that will be limited to 100 examples.
Ducati says the model is the first production motorcycle to use carbon-ceramic brake discs and a fork with carbon-fibre sleeves derived from MotoGP technology. Its livery references the Ducati 750 F1 that won the 1986 Battle of the Twins at Daytona with Marco Lucchinelli, while maximum claimed power is listed at 228 hp.
The Superleggera serves as both a technology showcase and a symbolic bridge between Ducati’s past and future, tying the centenary story to one of the most exclusive motorcycles the company has produced.
World Ducati Week central to celebrations
Ducati has also confirmed that World Ducati Week will be the centrepiece of its centenary calendar, with the Misano event set for July 3-5, 2026
Ducati says the event will feature product premieres, specialist talks, rider appearances, night entertainment and the traditional parade through the Romagna Riviera. The Lenovo Race of Champions will again be one of the main drawcards, this time with free practice and qualifying on Saturday before the race on Sunday at 12:00.
The planned Race of Champions field includes MotoGP riders Marc Marquez, Francesco Bagnaia, Michele Pirro, Fabio Di Giannantonio, Franco Morbidelli, Alex Marquez and Fermin Aldeguer, along with WorldSBK riders Nicolo Bulega and Iker Lecuona, plus competitors from other leading international championships.
Broader 2026 celebration plan
The wider centenary program begins on May 9 with #WeRideAsOne, when Ducati Official Clubs and dealers around the world will host coordinated rides and gatherings.
Ducati also says World Ducati Week will host a round of the V4 Elite Cup as well as the third round of the V2 Future Champ Academy, a rider development project run with Garage 51 and Michele Pirro.
Beyond the track activity, Ducati’s 2026 plans include Expedition Masters tours, a revised museum route at Borgo Panigale, a Chora Media podcast, a Minerva Pictures docu-film, projects with artist Ugo Nespolo and a centenary book covering the company’s first 100 years.
Ducati will also take its centenary celebrations to EICMA in Milan on November 5-8 with a dedicated exhibition.
