The Historic Motorcycle Racing Assoc. of Victoria [HMRAV] has decided to donate its gate takings from its Victorian Historic, BEARS and F2 Sidecar Championship event with a minimum of $6,000 to the Bushfire relief funds.
The event to be held on 4 / 5 April 2009 at Broadford Raceway celebrates Classic motorcycle racing incorporating sidecars and solos from 1919 – 1980, BEARS solo racing and Modern Formula 2 sidecars.
The committee also wishes to invite all bushfire survivors to the event free of charge to come and enjoy a day of motorcycle racing and walk around the machines. Tickets will be distributed through the effected areas, via the CFA and local community groups.
The HMRAV with the assistance of Motorcycling Victoria, www.mcnews.com.au.com.au, Australian Motorcycle News and Motorcycling Australia will promote the event in an effort to boost the gate and provide a greater contribution.
