New Husqvarna 250 four-stroke engine extremely compact and featherweight 22kg
Andrea Bartolini has been busy testing the 2009 Husqvarna 250 MX 4 stroke.
Produced by the Husqvarna factory in Italy, the 250cc 4-stroke powerplant features four titanium radial valves.
The engine tips the scales at only 22 kg and Husqvarna claim its dimensions are 13 percent smaller than its nearest competitor.
Describing the engine as a ‘made-in-Italy jewel’ Husqvarna will initially produced a limited number by end of 2008, but Husqvarna is already considering the option of introducing it in the 2009 MX2 Motocross World Championship.
The new engine helps the next generation TC 250 motocross machine to weigh s two-stroke like 92kg.
