2011 Honda Broadford Bike Bonanza ready to go
The 2011 Honda Broadford Bike Bonanza (HBBB) is on this Easter Long-weekend, with thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts expected to descend on the State Motorcycle Complex at Broadford for the two-day extravaganza.
A host of big names have been confirmed for the third edition of the HBBB, headlined by four-time Road Racing World Champion Hugh Anderson and world-renowned motorsport journalist Alan Cathcart.
With more legends of Australian and New Zealand motorcycling in attendance, along with a host of rare and famous machines on display, HBBB Event Organiser Peter Drakeford said this year’s Bonanza will be the biggest and best yet.
“A lot of planning and preparation has gone in to make this year’s Bonanza one that will not be forgotten,” he said.
“We’ve managed to secure some of the great names in Australian and International motorcycle racing as well as bring together a collection of motorcycles that is unrivalled anywhere in Australia.
“The State Motorcycle Complex is the perfect venue for the Bonanza and we look forward to seeing riders and enthusiasts alike this weekend.”
Over the two days there will plenty to do, with the Road Racing, Enduro, Motocross and Dirt Track/Speedway circuits in operation along with a host of display areas and demonstrations, including a BSA Gold Star display.
Highlighting the weekend will be Saturday evening’s Gala Dinner, with specials guests Cathcart, Anderson and 11-time Isle of Man winner Bob Heath on stage, while patrons enjoy a brilliant three-course meal prepared by renowned chef Bernard Hayes.
Latest weather reports are forecasting clear skies for Saturday and Sunday, making for perfect riding and spectating conditions.
The 2011 Honda Broadford Bike Bonanza takes place this weekend (23-24 April) at the State Motorcycle Complex, Strath Creek Rd Broadford.
