BMW R 1300 R TITAN
A select team of BMW Motorrad employees brought their shared passion for performance, design, and innovation to life with ‘TITAN’.
Drawing inspiration from the base model R 1300 R, the “TITAN” reinterprets its aggressive stance through the lens of sprint racing. The design language is unmistakable: the sharply sculpted monocoque echoes the dynamic lines of the R 1300 R tank and fairing, while the signature air duct panel is pushed to dramatic new extremes.
The visual weight is concentrated forward, giving the impression that the machine is ready to lunge at any moment. Compact proportions tightly wrap around the heart of the bike: BMW’s ballsy 1300cc boxer engine.
The chassis, developed in collaboration with Wilbers, is a custom unit featuring an extended swingarm to maximise power transfer from the production engine while maintaining a low and aggressive profile.
An Akrapovič titanium exhaust system, developed in close collaboration with BMW’s long-time performance partner, runs from the signature boxer cylinders to underseat mufflers.
For sprint applications, a nitrous oxide bottle sits neatly between the two titanium silencers.
The boosted power is delivered through a precisely engineered transmission and shaft drive, while braking performance is entrusted to a high-spec Magura HC3 lever setup.
Meanwhile, rear-set pegs ensure optimum support and body positioning for sprint racing. BMW has not disclosed any quarter-mile times…
