The two day meeting is on the 27th and 28th April 2013 at Tumbulgum on South-West Highway at Byford.
Each year Willie Thomson builds the complete Motocross track from scratch. “The track will be completely different from anything previously used, it will be around 2km, possibly just a little longer, and it is always a new track it is never the same to anything previously used. The first time any of the riders get to ride is at the first practice session. Everyone will be surprised just how dynamic this track will be when it’s finished”. Ben Grabham from HSE Motorex KTM Desert Racing has confirmed he will be competing at Tumbulgum this year on a desert spec 450 SX-F in the pro class. Although motocross isn’t Ben’s specialty, as a 4 time winner of the Finke Desert Race and recently finishing 15th in the gruelling Dakar Rally, he is bound to shake up the pro class and provide some spectacular racing.
“Saturday as always will feature the Junior Motocross from 8.00am – 4.00pm. We are expecting to get well in excess of 500 entries over the entire weekend this year, last year we had 512 riders so it is always action packed and very well supported event.
“Sunday is going to be nonstop action with the Senior competitor’s taking to the 2km track for the first time. As well as a full day of MX there will be plenty of entertainment to keep you fully occupied, including Freestyle BMX, FMX, Super Lite Buggy Demos, Helicopter rides and Side Show Alley. There will also be Fast 50’s / Thump star racing on their own arena x track.
The staff and clients of Dreamfit Foundation will also be at the 2013 Tumbulgum event as part of the Dreamfit Experience Program where the key objective is to make leisure based opportunities available and accessible to people with disabilities. Events are spread across the Perth metro area and feature a range of Dreamfit vehicles and equipment as well as inclusive programs and services from partnering disability and sporting organisations.
The star attraction for the 2013 event is Matt Schubring will be attempting to clear a 250 ft jump!
Matt Schubring is a name that is synonymous with Freestyle Motocross in Australia. Coming from a BMX background “Schuie” is known as an innovator and has mastered some of the biggest tricks in FMX with incredible style and execution. He has been a member of the famous Crusty Demons of Dirt Tour since 2004 and is on tour with crusty’show, he was the first Australian rider to join the elite group of riders. Some of Schuies major achievements include:

•3 x Freerider MX Magazine rider of the year (2004,2005,2006)
•First Australian rider on Crusty Demons Tour 04 (longest serving crusty rider)
•2008 Crusty tour best rider and best trick

There is a licensed bar area and plenty of refreshments available.
In another new innovation you can camp at the track from Friday night and the cost is just $10.00 per person or $40.00 for a family to camp for the entire weekend.
Single day admission is $20 for adults on Saturday, $10 for Kids under 15, kids under 5 free
$25.00 for adults Sunday, $15 for kids under 15, Kids Under 5 are Free.
