Only one week left for cheaper early bird World Superbike tickets
Australia will kick off the Superbike World Championship in 2009 with Phillip Island hosting the season’s opening round from Friday February 27 to Sunday March 1, with just one week to go for fans to secure Early Bird tickets.
Bike fans from all over the world will be transfixed to the Australian round as the world superbike teams launch their 2009 campaigns with new bikes, new rider line ups and new liveries unveiled at the island circuit.
Heading the entry list will be the kamikaze pilots of superbike’s world stage including Australia’s never-say-die Troy Corser racing for BMW, Japan’s samurai of slide Nori Haga and compatriot young hard charger Ryuichi Kiyonari, Italy’s Max Biaggi, Germany’s Max Neukirchner and Spain’s Carlos Checa and Fonsi Nieto.
World superbike promises, and always delivers, spectacular, razor close racing at the island, backed by the world supersport championship and four national classes.
On track action over three days will be non stop and includes more than 15 races, plus the fierce sessions of qualifying and early practice to thrill fans.
Early bird tickets are on sale now from the circuit with a three day general admission ticket for $120 or a three day Bar SBK ticket at $200. Bar SBK is a portable ticket that gives access to three prime undercover licensed viewing locations around the circuit.
