WSBK Tickets at big discount

Counting the days to spring and dreaming of a long, hot summer? There’s no better view on the horizon than summer at the world superbikes, next February 21-23* at Phillip Island.

International organisers determined to boost the 2014 world superbike grid are currently rolling out cost-cutting changes to technical regulations, have launched a new EVO class, and have struck a deal with manufacturers to ensure a complete motorcycle package is offered to non- factory teams at the right price.

Revved up by the revamped world super regs, the Phillip Island Grand Prix circuit has gone “on sale” with heavily discounted prices for some of the most popular wsbk tickets. Head to www.worldsbk.com.au today to book your pass, and make your dream of a sweet summer weekend at the world superbikes reality.

The best deal is a three day General Admission pass(GA) for just $99, slashing a massive $51 off the 2014 gate price of $150.

To add to the value, children 15 and under are free, making a family weekend at the supers totally affordable.

“This is a sensational price,” says circuit managing director, Fergus Cameron. “We want fans to enjoy the entire world superbike experience. We wait all year for the riders to head down under, so make a long weekend of it, get on your bike, book your trackside campsite and enjoy every moment of the action from Friday to Sunday.

“At $99 for three days for an adult, and free for kids, world superbikes has never been so affordable.”

Bar SBK, with access to three premium, undercover viewing locations at Doohan Corner, Siberia and Lukey Heights, is also “on sale” at just $220 for a three day pass. This price is only available until September 30.

If VIP hospitality is more your style, book before September 30 to go in the draw to be one of two winners to receive a full refund on tickets and be in the running for a helicopter or course car ride. **

The world superbikes is the bike lovers’ event of the year, with the globe’s leading production riders like Tom Sykes, Sylvain Guintoli, Eugene Laverty and Marco Melandri on show.

The teams and their star performers are always raring to race when they come to Australia. Straight off a four month hiatus, they are champing at the bit for their season kick off, excited about their new machines and prospects, and buoyed for business by the warmth of the Aussie sun.

Make sure you’re watching the show trackside, and if you are keen to camp early bookers can also get a site “on sale”. Nab a campsite now for $30 off the normal price – just $80 for four nights (in Thursday, out Monday). Situated just above Southern Loop you can enjoy great views and even sleep-in of a morning, avoid the traffic and be at the track for the first crack of the engines.

And with world superbikes always a hot February date, there’s no better time to camp. Bring your bike, because at the world supers bikes are more than welcome trackside. Cruise the spectator areas, find a favourite spot, park your machine and sit back and enjoy summer at the supers island-style!
