Jones’ new association with Japanese brand will see him aboard a Kawasaki Ninja ZX10 for the two series’, with events take place around Australia, including competing alongside selected rounds of the V8 Supercars within the Australian Superbike Championship.

“I’m very excited to be racing in the Superbike category on a Kawasaki Ninja ZX10. I look forward to developing my skills as I plan to spend as much time in the seat as possible. Whilst this year will primarily be about learning, I’m confident that I’ll be on the pace towards the end of the year,” Jones said.

The Queensland based rider has established his new partnership with Crazy Dogs Kawasaki who have helped him to generate his opportunity to step up to the elite category. With the increased pressures of the Superbike category, Mike is greatly appreciative of the extensive support being passed on from ‘Crazy Dogs’.

“I’m glad to announce my partnership with Crazy Dogs Kawasaki for 2014. I wish to thank the staff for assisting me with the move onto the Kawasaki Ninja ZX10. Their support is greatly appreciated and I hope to bring them success throughout the year,” Jones added.

In addition to his National commitments, Mike will also make regular appearances within his local club series, the Motorcycle Sportsmen of Queensland – Southern Downs Challenge. The extra track time will ultimately ensure Jones will be prepared in the best way possible for the challenges of his increased level of National events.

“It will be great to get back and race throughout my local club, it will be a relaxed atmosphere whilst at the same time an excellent opportunity to get the most experience and track time I can with the new Kawasaki Superbike,” Jones concluded.
