2026 BMW Motorrad Updates & Colourways
BMW Motorrad has unveiled a fresh palette of colour updates across its 2026 model lineup, along with revisions to optional equipment packages for select models. Among the notable additions is a new navigation preparation system featuring electric unlocking, now available as optional equipment across the entire range.
Leading the charge is the premium M 1000 XR, which features an additional Aurelius Green Metallic Matt colour option exclusive to this model.
In the adventure segment, the F 800 GS gains a new Gravityblue Metallic colour option for 2026, paired with a black and grey seat. However, the previous Racingblue Metallic finish will be discontinued. The high windscreen will now come as standard on both the Sport and Triple Black variants, although the Sport model will no longer offer the tinted windscreen option.
For 2026, the F 900 GS receives a subtle update, with both the Passion variant in São Paulo Yellow and the Trophy edition in Lightwhite/Racingblue Metallic losing the tape detail on the front mudguard that featured on the 2025 versions of these colour schemes.
Meanwhile, the F 900 GS Adventure sees the White Aluminium colour option replaced by a new Sage Green Metallic finish for 2026. The Ride Pro package also receives an update — Dynamic ESA and the centre stand are no longer included as standard within the package and are now offered as individual options. This change, however, allows the Ride Pro package to be paired with lowered suspension for the first time, offering greater flexibility for riders seeking a more tailored setup.
For 2026, the R 1300 GS receives a fresh look in the premium Option 719 range, with the new Biscaya finish in Imperial Blue Metallic/White Aluminium Metallic Matt replacing the outgoing Option 719 Tramuntana colour scheme.
In addition to the new Option 719 Biscaya finish, the R 1300 GS also receives a refreshed base colour scheme for 2026, with Racingred replacing the previous Lightwhite Non-Metallic — adding a bolder splash of colour to the lineup.
On the features front, the Innovation Package has been updated to include Adaptive Light Modes as standard. For riders wanting more flexibility, this lighting technology can also be selected as a standalone option.
For 2026, the R 12 nineT receives a subtle styling refresh, with Imperial Blue Metallic replacing the outgoing San Remo Green in the standard colour lineup. On the Option 719 variant, a black headlight now replaces the previously silver unit, adding a more aggressive visual touch.
Also new to the options list is the M Lightweight Battery, ideal for riders looking to trim weight and enhance performance down to the last gram.
The standard BMW R 12 also benefits from some 2026 updates. The M Lightweight Battery becomes available as an option, mirroring its addition to the R 12 nineT. Similarly, the Option 719 variant adopts the same black headlight as seen on the nineT, replacing the previous silver finish.
In terms of paintwork, the Option 719 Thorium colour is replaced by a new finish: Beryllium Meteoric Dust II Metallic, bringing a fresh aesthetic to the lineup.
Rounding out the changes to the R 12 lineup for 2026 is the introduction of a new premium Gravityblue Metallic finish, which replaces the outgoing Aventurin Red Metallic option.
BMW Motorrad has confirmed that the updated 2026 models will be available to order from August 2025. In the meantime, riders can explore the refreshed range and available options via the official BMW Motorrad website.
