2026 BMW CE 04
Originally unveiled in 2021, BMW’s futuristic CE 04 electric scooter returns for 2026 with refreshed colour options across all three variants. Alongside the updated palette, BMW is also expanding the optional equipment catalogue, giving riders even more ways to customise their CE 04 to suit their style and needs.

The base CE 04 variant features a clean Lightwhite finish, paired with a black and grey seat and a clear windshield for a minimalist look. For those seeking a bolder statement, the Avantgarde variant steps things up with striking Gravity Blue Metallic Matt paint, accented by vivid São Paulo Yellow highlights. Additional standout details include a black and light grey seat with distinctive yellow and white trim, a yellow-tinted windshield, and a laser-engraved rear rim — all of which combine to make the Avantgarde model, well, a little more avant-garde.

Pushing premium even further, the Exclusive variant arrives in an elegant Spacesilver Metallic finish and features a larger windshield for added wind protection. Integrated hand guards and heated grips come standard, alongside a heated seat trimmed in new upholstery fabric and finished with CE 04 embroidery. Like the Avantgarde model, the Exclusive also rides on a distinctive laser-engraved rear rim, adding a final touch to BMW’s most well-appointed CE 04 variant.

The larger windshield, hand protectors (part of the Weather Protection package), and heated seat offered on the Exclusive variant are also available as individual options across the CE 04 range. Additional optional equipment includes a centre stand, anti-theft alarm system, E-Call emergency feature, heated grips, quick charger, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and a comfort seat.
For those seeking to tick all the boxes, the Dynamic Package brings together a suite of advanced features: Headlight Pro, LED daytime running light, adaptive headlight, ABS Pro, Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), and an additional dynamic riding mode.

For those new to the CE 04, it’s powered by an 8.9 kWh (60.6Ah) battery paired with an electric motor delivering a peak output of 31 kW — or 42 hp, for those still clinging to imperial measurements. BMW claims a range of up to 130 km on a full charge, with brisk acceleration from 0 to 50 km/h in just 2.6 seconds and a top speed of 120 km/h.

A full charge of the CE 04 takes approximately 4 hours and 20 minutes using standard charging, but with the optional quick charger and a Mode 3 charging cable, that time drops significantly to just 1 hour and 40 minutes. If you’re topping up from 20 to 80 percent, the quick charger cuts the wait to just 45 minutes — making the CE 04 a far more practical option for urban riders on the go.

On the electronics front, the CE 04 comes standard with Automatic Stability Control (ASC), which limits torque to prevent rear wheel slip during acceleration. For those seeking more advanced performance, Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) is available as an ex-works option, offering enhanced traction management, including while cornering.
ABS is also standard across the range, while the optional ABS Pro system adds cornering-sensitive braking functionality for greater stability and confidence when leaning into turns.

A big 10.25 inch TFT offers easy readability on the fly, and can display navigation.

To ensure the CE 04 delivers a planted, confidence-inspiring ride, BMW equips it with 15-inch wheels, fitted with a 120/70 tyre up front and a 160/60 at the rear. A single-sided swingarm, 35 mm front fork, and a concealed rear shock help keep the design clean while maintaining performance. Underneath it all is a rigid one-piece steel tube frame.

There’s also storage compartments front and side, with a ventilated phone charging compartment and USB-C charging port.
These new model updates haven’t yet hit the Australian BMW Motorrad site, however for reference, the current 2025 CE 04 retails (from) $24,099* Ride Away, while run-out MY23 models are also available for $19,990 ride-away.
