Cassons appointed exclusive Australian distributor for IPONE

French motorcycle lubricant specialist IPONE is expanding its Australian reach through an exclusive distribution partnership with Cassons.

IPONE now distributed by Cassons

French motorcycle lubricant specialist IPONE is expanding its Australian presence through a new exclusive distribution partnership with Cassons.

The agreement gives Australian dealers, workshops and riders broader access to IPONE’s range of motorcycle engine oils, lubricants, cleaning products and workshop consumables, backed by Cassons’ established national distribution network.

Founded in France in 1985, IPONE has taken a deliberately narrow path: motorcycles are not merely one part of its business; they are the entire business.

French brand IPONE has focused exclusively on motorcycle oils, lubricants and maintenance products since 1985.

Motorcycle-specific from the outset

Unlike lubricant companies that develop products across automotive, industrial and motorcycle applications, IPONE has spent more than four decades concentrating exclusively on powered two-wheelers.

In many motorcycles, one lubricant may be called upon to protect the engine, gearbox and wet clutch, with each placing different demands on the oil. IPONE develops its formulations around those motorcycle-specific operating conditions rather than adapting products originally intended for cars.

The range covers road, touring, adventure, scooter, motocross, enduro and competition applications, with different formulations offered to suit everything from everyday commuting to racing.

Four clearly defined performance levels

IPONE has divided its principal engine-oil offering into four colour-coded performance levels, helping riders and workshops identify where each product sits within the range.

Range Colour Formulation and intended use
Essential Orange Semi-synthetic oil developed for regular, everyday riding.
Advanced Green Semi-synthetic oil incorporating Ester technology for increased protection.
Sport Blue Fully synthetic oil using PAO and Ester technology for higher-performance and more spirited riding.
Racing Black Competition-grade oil formulated with 100 per cent PAO and Ester technology.

The colour system makes comparing products easier, although riders should still select the viscosity, specification and approval stipulated by their motorcycle manufacturer.

IPONE also provides an online motorcycle oil selector that allows owners to search by manufacturer, model and year.

Developed under racing pressure

Competition has played an important role in IPONE’s product development. The brand’s racing involvement has included the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, Moto3 competition and endurance racing.

IPONE says the experience gained in those demanding environments feeds into the development of its road and off-road products, particularly in areas such as resistance to high temperatures, transmission protection and maintaining lubricant performance under sustained loads.

More than engine oil

While engine oils form the core of the IPONE range, the brand also offers products covering most routine motorcycle servicing, cleaning and workshop requirements.

The Australian line-up extends to two-stroke and four-stroke oils, transmission and gear oils, fork oils, brake fluids, coolants, air-filter treatments, fuel additives, greases, chain cleaners and chain lubricants.

Cleaning and detailing products are also offered for bodywork, wheels, helmets and other equipment, allowing riders and workshops to use one brand across much of the motorcycle maintenance process.

IPONE now available via Cassons

Cassons has supplied motorcycle parts, accessories and workshop products to the Australian market since 1988. Its appointment as IPONE’s exclusive Australian distributor gives the French brand access to an established dealer network, customer-support operation and centralised distribution facilities.

Australian riders can now explore the available oils and maintenance products through the IPONE range at Cassons or enquire through their local motorcycle dealer or workshop.
