Windy conditions caused no problems for Peter Taplin as he cruised to victory after pulling out a three second lead on the first lap the Western Australian was never headed and eventually took the win by 9 seconds. The battle for second place was a close affair with Mark Rowling, Scott Crombie and Chris Wilkie swapping paint at every turn. Rowling finally got the nod for second by a nose from Chris Wilkie.

In the 250 Production ranks Caleb Stalder and Gareth Jones tussled all the way to the line with Stalder taking the victory.
