The Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa, Kawasaki ZX9R and Yamaha R1 engines are compared here in these tables.

Each bike's peak number is coloured yellow.

You can see from the Torque table that the Hayabusa makes more torque at 3000 rpm than either the R1 or ZX9R do at their peak. Incredible.

At 7,500 rpm the Hayabusa has passed both the R1 and ZX9R peak power figures and is storming on to a peak figure of 150.3 horsepower at 9,500 rpm, and continues pulling hard until the rev-limiter cut's in around 11,000 rpm.

The Hayabusa doesn't feel any stronger than the R1 or ZX9R in the first three gears, but  fourth, fifth and sixth gears it is still pulling really hard while both the R1 and ZX9R start struggling to maintain the acceleration rate, the Hayabusa just piles on more and more speed.

Rest assured, if you come up against a Hayabusa on a road with fast sweepers or any sort of straights you will get annihilated.
