| No points for Kiefer BOS Racing at
the last race of the 2006 season in Valencia. No luck for Anthony
West and Dirk Heidolf. Dirk finished his race in the tenth lap,
because his engine has no more power. Anthony West had a good start
and wants to fight for a better result. He passed Aleix Espargaro
but he was too late on the brake and took the way int the gravel. He
did'nt crashed, but he came back into the race on the last position.
Now he takes place by place with laptimes sometimes as fast as the
top three riders... after that, he finished the race on 19. place.
Anthony West (#14) finished 19th
position
"The start was'nt too bad. I start with harder tyres and after about
five laps started to feel good and I felt a bit faster than the
other in front of me so I started to trying push and I passed
Espargaro and I was looking to catch up Poggiali but Im coming in a
tight corner too fast it is a little bit bumpy there and I hit the
ripple strip and nearly crashed. I picked it up and run across the
gravel to race till the end."
Dirk Heidolf (#28) did not finished
"The bike had no power, that was the problem. I ride only with a
maximum of 12.500 revs. The whole weekend was bad, I crashed two
times and I'm dissapointed, because I want to improve my position in
the championship. I did'nt want to leave Valencia like this, this is
a big shame."
Stefan Kiefer (Teammanager):
"This weekend we had a complete 2007 Kit in Dirk's bike, but sadly
it does'nt worked. Yesterday when we changed back to the 2006
engineversion we had ofcourse no data for the enginesetup. But we
tried it... sure, it's disappointing for Dirk, but it could worked
also. With one crucially mistake, Anthony did a great job today.
After he was in the gravel he did a very fast race with laptimes,
sometimes better than the top riders who were fighting for the
victory."
Result:
Anthony West: Place 19
Dirk Heidolf: Place did not finished
Winner: Alex de Angelis / RSM / Aprilia
